Nearly twenty years ago, in a small town in Pakistan, a humble church FGA Church Faisalabad, was holding a Sunday service. The building was still under construction, and there was no roof above the congregation, only open sky.

That day, it began to rain.
As the people gathered in the unfinished sanctuary, the pastor stood before them and said with deep conviction, “Let us pray and ask God to provide funds so we can build the roof. We need a covering to continue our services, rain or shine.”
Among those standing in the rain was Rose Bella, a visitor that day, not a regular member of the church. She had simply come to worship. But what happened next would become a powerful testimony that still lives on in the hearts of that congregation.
Rose Bella listened to the pastor’s prayer. She looked around and saw the need. She was strong in faith, and in her heart, she believed God could use her. That day, she was wearing her wedding jewelry, gold pieces that were given to her at her marriage, a traditional gift for brides in Pakistani culture. These were her most valuable possessions.
Without speaking to anyone, not even her husband, she quietly removed all her gold jewelry and placed it into the church’s donation box.
It was an act done in silence, but Heaven noticed.
The pastor was moved by the Spirit. He paused and asked the congregation, “Who has made such a great sacrifice today?” Rose Bella raised her hand.
The pastor prayed for her and shared her bold act of faith with the entire congregation. Though she was only visiting that day, her generosity and obedience became a testimony to God’s provision and her trust in Him.
Later, when her husband learned what she had done, he took it positively, saying, “If you gave it to God, then we gave it together.”
Rose Bella is not only known for this powerful moment. She founded Shining Star School System, a vision born from her faith, sacrifice, and desire to serve others. But for many, especially those who were at FGA Church that rainy day, she will always be remembered as the woman who gave her gold to build God’s house.
And eventually, the church roof was completed, built not just with bricks and cement, but with prayers, sacrifices, and the unwavering faith of people like Rose Bella.
